Marketing Management Lesson 1

Hye Guys, I guess it's about time I share some lessons on the classes i've attended at UNITEN. Do enjoy your reading ya!

Registered for this class with no prior information on the Lecturer's Backgroud. But Dr. Yusof has definitely proven himself to be one of the best marketing management advisor cum teacher yet. That being said, it is also very interesting to learn that he is also a very direct and straight forward lecturer who do not let things pass by easily. You'll definitely hear him commenting here and about especially if there were anyone who made fun of UNITEN.

The Marketing Mangement course was definitely fun. The theoretical knowledge learnt are almost as if very general and logical knowledge which any ordinary people would think of. However, its very interesting to learn that these basic stuff are the core elements in having a successful marketing management system. Focusing and valuing the Place, People and Promotion activities are some of which makes the business marketing successful. Geographic and demographic backgrounds of certain location also plays their roles.

The Porter's Five Forces is most important to be considered as competition rises in the market of business we are venturing into. Lots more theories and knowledge shall be shared as this blog receives more visitors and upon special request of information by everyone.

Apart from learning the theories of effective marketing management, this class also thought me on how to practically put the knowldge learnt into practice. In this class, students are divided into groups of sixes disregarding of group members mixtures whether from the local or foreign students in a group. However so, projects made by the groups were definitely memorable. The project was simple. Each group only needs to agree on a particular product or services that they want to promote. Create all the basic needs for effective marketing such as advertisements through banners, online, flyers and etc. Then, selecting the approrpriate market and considering going for niche markets in order to gain specific customers who can possibly be loyal customers in the future.

The Uniten MBA Students are so smart, intelligent and creative that projects ranged from simply selling T-Shirts Business to interestingly selling Spa & Massage Packages Business. My group in particular got so innovative that among our top 3 choices were from selling chocolates  to selling handphones. However, finally, my group decided to go for the most unique and niche business market out of all which is to sell the Cameron Highlands Famous Flavoured Tea.

As suggested by the Marketing Management Theories, we did conduct survey to determine our target market groups, and so on. In the upcoming Marketing Mangement Lesson, I'll take the pleasure to share what my group's project is all about with those who are interested. Will post up my presentation slides, reports and everything concerning the project for everyone to learn from or share with others as samples. Coz you'll never know, because someday,  there might just be someone who would actually carry out the business in reality, right?

So, See you guys soo!  Oohh ya, please do request in the Shout Box if you would like tips for the other classes in the Uniten MBA Syllabus such as Operations Management, Information System Mangement and etc. I would gladly share all knowledge and experince that I have with everyone, anytime.

Okay everyone, I've had a Nice time blogging for the night. May we all cherish the knowledge together. Take care & See ya tomorrow!!!
